Dear Simon and
Sara,
I just wanted to thank
you for a wonderful stay in Rome. You are both such genuine people
and you made us feel very comfortable. These past few days have
been unique in comparison to other places I have stayed. You
have a wayof making everyone fell so welcome. I can't immagine
how overwhelmed I would have felt touring around the city without
the instructions and raccomendations from Simon ! Thanks again
for everything, I wish you both the very best with your futures.
If you ever happen to be in Utah, you have a place to stay !
you are both welcome at my home ! take care, Emily emkester@yahoo.com
Gulliver's
House
There
once was a man named Gulliver who travelled far and wide and
when he finally found a placehe liked he stopped and went inside.
"Hello" said Simon. "Ciao" said Sara. As
Gulliver dropped his pack and as they talked it was then he knew
Gulliver was never going back. "It is like this" said
Simon As Gulliver learned in, entraptured. Simon gave his little
lecture and his guests immagination was captured. As Sara showed
photos and Simon drew maps Gulliver just wondered at all those
poor saps. Who would never discover this wonderfull place that
treats guest like members of the human race. No Lilliputians
or Hhmmynyhmns here just quiet, peace and calm and the only yahoos
hiding out are found at dot-com. "Screw Swift"thought
Gulliver" "he can finishhis book without me","I'm
just gonna take a hot shower, brush my teeth and take a pee".
By the time simon was finished Gulliver knew where to go but
by now he was hungry, said Simon : there is a place we know ......
So Gulliver went there ready for eating not really aware of his
impending beating. "Pasta No Stoppa" said Simon simply
but nothing prepared him for hurt as he pucked up his sixth plate
and asked for the check, all they said was "now for dessert".So
the Sistine was thrilling the Catacombs chilling and all that
Gulliver could think of was just how sincerely that House he
held dearly would wake him to music he loved."That's it"
he said "I'm staying , for sure, and if I die here then
let this be known:" I'll inhabit this House, I'll take care
of its guests and that sofa shall be my throne". Zak Nelson

Thank
you for your friendly and kind hostelling. Gulliver's House is
a pleace where we really felt as at home because you were always
taking care of us and trying to give us the best of yours. We
will never forget Simon's history classes (he could be a good
teacher) and his "it's ok", "no problem".
We will always remember the moment Sara came to talk to us at
the train station because we were so frightened about strangers,
but finally we felt in her arms due to her warm receivement.
We hope to come back as soon as possible or to meet you in Argentina.
We'll be in touch. Kisses. Good luck. Tamy, Naty, Luciana and
Picolina. |
